Once AIDS began to destroy America Gay men were advised it was from sexual interactions and unsafe bodily fluids being passed around that created the epidemic.
Those factors did not change, but the highly populated “Faces Of Aids” in the 1980’s and 1990’s look a little more like Urban America in this day in age.
It is not cool or cute to have your pants down every damn day with someone you don’t know, unprotected.
AIDS Is real, and it only takes one time to trust the wrong person, just like my late cousin…
I think everyone assumes they won’t be infected with AIDS!
News Flash: Most of the new AIDS cases are for Black and Latino Youth under the age of 25 years old.
Some assume promiscuity and unprotected sex is a joke or something that is part of life but they are lost.
Apparently that is the biggest lie of our generation and our culture.
Some of us have heard the story of Patient Zero, Gaetan Dugas. He is known of the AIDS victim, that criminally transmitted the virus while employed as a flight attendant. Now, the question is how did he contract the disease? Some have said in Africa the meat and cannibalism, and bestiality were the cause of AIDS. Either way there is not one definite answer how humans transmitted the virus.
The first case of AIDS apparently now wasn’t Gaetan Dugas, because Robert Rayford contracted it in 1969 as a teenager. Gaetan and Robert didn’t know each other, so we can not be 100 percent accurate about Gaetan Dugas maliciously infecting people with AIDS.
Did the government administer AIDS?
We don’t know when it infiltrated our culture, but we know it is here in our communities and we seem to ignore the truth when it can be a somber reality.
AIDS is not an immediate death sentence, my cousin in Harlem contracted AIDS in the 1990’s and she lost her battle to the disease in 2013.
She never gave up, but her body gave up on her.
Why put yourself at risk?
I don’t care if they have more money than Bill Gates or she is more beautiful than Jennifer Lopez, safe sex is the ONLY option.
